No Matter Where We Are, We won’t miss the Peachtree

It has become our family tradition to run the Peachtree Road Race each year.

My husband started running it in the 80′s, I started in 1990 and our son started running it when he turned 10 in 1996. This year will be our son’s 19th year and he has flown back to Atlanta from all over the world to be here on the 4th.

His craziest journey was 2010 when he took the red eye from a wedding in LA arriving at 6:30 am to run and then took a red eye to Amsterdam that night to be back at work on Tuesday morning. He says he will never fly on back-to-back red eyes again, but he did it for the Peachtree.

We’re shown here in Hartsfield-Jackson Airport heading back to Boston after the 2005 Peachtree.
