If you are looking for a park outside the perimeter, check out Short Howell Park. Nestled in Duluth, the park offers a .30-mile lighted track, 1.25-mile paved trail and a pavilion to grill with friends and family post-run.

Downtown Duluth has acquired a face lift over the years. One of my favorite additions, a pretty quaint café called Chocolate Perks (3160 Main Street) can serve as a meeting spot for your next run. From the cafe, “roadies” can enjoy the roads by venturing out for a 3, 5 or 8 mile run. There is plenty of parking in this area, and delicious treats waiting for you once you return from your run!
